Jason continued to perform at a high standard and in 2011, at age 15, made the cut for the BMW New Zealand Open becoming the second youngest player ever to do so.[2] Jason managed to once again make the starting line up for the 2012 BMW New Zealand Open. As the youngest player, he performed extremely well and was unlucky to miss the cut by one shot. Jason has recently been selected to return to international sport, representing New Zealand at the upcoming 2013 Australian Youth Olympic Festival competing in the New Zealand Boys Squad. [3] Jason is currently taking a temporary retirement from golf, in order to focus on his academic studies. He has been outperforming previous grades this year, earning several merits. He is coming out of retirement on 18 June in order to play in the inaugural Condell's House challenge at Russley Golf Club
