Jaswant Arya (born 1 October 2000) is an Indian Software Engineer and Author. He was awarded the President's Gold Medal in the 8th Convocation of NIT Meghalaya for best overall performance in academic and co-curricular activities[1].

Early life & Education

Jaswant was born to Tilak Singh on 1 October 2000 in Aligarh city of Uttar Pradesh. He hails from an Arya Samaj family and has two brothers. His father has served as an operator at Aligarh Muslim University and his mother is currently an Accredited Social Health Activist or ASHA worker at UPHC, Aligarh.

Jaswant completed his schooling from Uttar Pradesh Board in Hindi medium and became a topper in Higher Secondary while securing excellent marks in Physics (96), Mathematics (96) and Chemistry (93). He cracked interviews and joined CSRL funded Gail Utkarsh Super 100 Kanpur, to prepare for IIT JEE, however, he later joined Resonance, Kota to prepare for the IIT JEE exam in Hindi medium.

He joined National Institute of Technology Meghalaya, Shillong, India as a civil engineering student and moved to computer science and engineering after getting excellent grades in academics. He has published a research paper on Blockchain, “Blockchain: Basics, Applications, Challenges & Opportunities”, in Vehicular Ad-Hoc Networks: Applications and Technology, Nova Science Publisher, USA[2]. He graduated in 2021[3] with a B.Tech degree and President's Gold Medal in the 8th convocation which took place coincidentally on his 21st Birthday, 01 Oct. 2021.
