Javed Pathan
Javed Pathan (born 7 September 1983) is an Indian actor who has appeared in television shows and films. He is best known for his roles in historical and mythological dramas such as Dharm Yoddha Garud, Jodha Akbar, Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap, Baal Veer, Vighnaharta Ganesh, Punyashlok Ahilyabai, and Swaraj.
Early life and family
Born in Jharia, a small town in Jharkhand's Dhanbad district, Pathan is the third among eight children (four sisters and four brothers) of Mohammad Imamuddin (a retired mining Sardar in BCCL) and Zahada Khatoon.[1]
Pathan completed his matriculation from DAV Public School in Baniahir (Dhanbad) and attended high school at the DAV Public School, Hehal, Ranchi, in 2004.[1]
Acting career
Pathan got a break on television with a small role in Sagar Arts’ Jai Jai Bajrangbali on Sahara One (2012). His big break came with Jai Jag Janani Maa Durga on Colors,[citation needed] followed by Devon Ke Dev... Mahadev on Life OK.[citation needed] Since then, Pathan has played the role of an Egyptian king in Bal Veer (2015),[citation needed] Veerbahu in Vighnaharta Ganesh,[2] Emperor Akbar's soldier Husain Ali Quli Khan in Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap on Sony TV (2015),[citation needed] Sheikh Gadai in Jodha Akbar on Zee TV (2015),[citation needed] Meet on Zee TV,[3] demon Tarkasur in Dharm Yoddha Garud on Sony SAB (2022),[4][5] Ahmad Shah Abdali in Punyashlok Ahilyabai (2023)[6] and Swaraj on Doordarshan (2023).[7]
Films
Besides acting in 14 television serials, of which 10 are mythological,[8] Pathan has appeared in the Bollywood film Horror Love Story in 2020 as the main lead. He also starred in the 2023 global release, NRI Wives: Grey Stories of Love Vs Desires,[9] a relationship drama that explores the taboo side of human emotions and desires among NRI couples. Pathan shared the screen space with Bhagyashree, Raima Sen, Hiten Tejwani, Kiku Sharda, Gaurav Gera, Jugal Hansraj, Samir Soni, Samiksha Oswal, and played Aditi Gowitrikar’s husband in the film.
He is currently working on films such as Caste of Love,[citation needed] Shubh Vivah[10] and Bagawat: The Revolt.[11]
Music videos
Besides featuring in music videos Tu Zarurat Hai, Mean Girls and Aasmaan, he was the chief judge for the Miss & Mrs New Jersey 2018 pageant.[12]
