Javid Banday [1] is an internationally acclaimed writer, producer, and director. Javid has produced numerous plays on different platforms both at national and international level.
Early Life and Career[edit]
Javid Banday was born in Jammu and Kashmir. He completed his high School from National High School[2] and Post- Graduated in Commerce & Law from University of Kashmir
Javid Banday started his career at Radio Kashmir as a Transmission Executive in 1990. In 1991, Javid wrote his first play Parae tsyoun that symbolically portrayed bird’s despair with the situation of Kashmir in early 90s. After this he wrote many plays like Wapsi, Akhri shab ka musafir, Gaas Chu roumuth etc. Javid Banday won a best documentary of the year award in AkashVani Annual Awards 1995 for Wo ek sach tha.
Javid Banday moved to UAE in 1998 and joined Dubai TV as a Program Coordinator, where he has been part of3 numerous popular shows in early 2000s like In-Focus.
Javid Banday finally moved to Canada in 2006 and is settled there. In 2008, Javid Banday added another credential to his career by doing PG.Dip in Advanced Television and Film Productions from Sheridan College Canada. He continued his media career in Canada by joining Rogers TV[3] in 2011, then Rawal TV in 2012 and produced several programs like Dastak, Morning Masti with Faiza, Bila Takaluf, Password etc. He created his own production company in 2010 , Media mark International Corp, and made his directorial debut in 2020 with Footprints that got recognized on numerous platforms.
Javid Banday[4] is a member of Screen Writers Association of India.
Personal Life[edit]
Javid Banday is married and has a son named Irfan Banday. He received his Canadian Citizenship in 2010.
