Javier Castellar Devis (born 18 April 1961) He is a former Spanish professional cyclist. He was a professional between 1984 and 1988 without interruption.[1]

He made his debut on the Kelme team where he spent most of his sports career.[1]

One of his successes as a professional was the bronze medal achieved in the 1985 Spanish Road Championship, held in Valladolid. It was only surpassed by José Luis Navarro and Peio Ruiz Cabestany, who were gold and silver respectively.[2]

Another of his great successes was the victory at the Camp de Morvedre in 1985, where he prevailed ahead of Bernard Hinault.[3] Thus, like the victory achieved in a very tight sprint ahead of the World Road Champion Claude Criquielion in the 1st stage of the 1986 "Vuelta a Asturias".[4]

Currently, he is the President of the podium sports club, where his commitment and vocation are to foster a passion for cycling, and to attract the eyes of the world towards this sport through the organization of different events.[5]

During his time as an organizer, he has made legends such as Induráin, Basso or Contador, dispute his Criterium, "and they have always returned. They love this city, the attentions of the people and, in addition, they enjoy the test. "They always emphasize to me the openness of the Valencian character. They are surprised, they tell me about it. They like to see how the city has grown. Valencia has magic".
