Javier Ideami (Oviedo, Spain), founder of Ideami Studios, is a multidisciplinary creative director, engineer, artist and entrepreneur.

Biography[edit]

With studies in both creative and technical fields, Javier's projects and talks have taken him from Silicon Valley to the jungles of Bali, including Stanford University and UC Berkeley, the United Nations FAO HQ, the financial center of London, the International Cultural Diplomacy Conference in Berlin and many others. Javier has been working for years blending technology, media, business, art and science, receiving numerous awards for his work across different disciplines.

Javier Ideami leads and launches regularly innovative projects around the world. Some examples:

Javier Ideami is the creator of The Torch Methodology for accelerating innovation processes, which includes the innovation management platform T4I (torch4ideas.com) and the Torch Creative Gyms.[16]

Javier is an award-winning filmmaker, screenwriter, and director who on occasions works as well in the photography and music of his films.[17]

His films have won many awards and been present at numerous Film Festivals around the world (for example the London International Sci-Fi Film festival,[29] the Ourense International Film Festival,[30] The Gaudi Prices in Barcelona,[31] San Francisco International SFShorts Film Festival [32])

Teaching and Conferences[edit]

Javier regularly teaches art, creativity and technology masterclasses around the world (such as: Tuscany,[33] London,[34] San Francisco [35]). He often gives conferences as well connected to his expertise and projects (example: At Stanford University in California,[36] Conference in Sicily, Italy [37]). Ideami is also the founder of the Torch methodology and ecosystem, which combines unique tools and multiple creative disciplines to help balance the analytical and intuitive skills of employees and managers as well as learn new strategies to create and incubate novel ideas for businesses.[38] He is the creator of many creativity related metaphors such as The Torch Principle, The Depth Elevators and The Subconscious Pot. In November 2014, The Cultural Diplomacy Conference in Berlin, in parallel to the Berlin Economic Forum, recognized the career of Javier Ideami, inviting him to give a speech together with presidents and worldwide personalities.[39]
