Jay L. Henry (born May 20, 1996) is an American singer, songwriter and guitarist. Critics have described his music as soulful, and introspective acoustic masterpieces. His 2021 album, Wretched Soul included a song nominated for the Best Acoustic Song in the 31st Annual San Diego Music Awards.

Life and Career[edit]

Jay L. Henry was born in Chico, California, and later moved to Redding, where he grew up. He has three brothers and two children. Influenced by his parents' love for music, Henry started playing guitar at five years old. In his twenties he studied and performed classical music.

Henry's many music inspirations include Radiohead, The Beatles, Fiona Apple and Nick Drake. Wretched Soul was released in 2021 where his song 'How Many Days' was nominated for Best Acoustic Song by the San Diego Music Awards. He is currently based in Southern California and spent much of his time writing and recording on the Olympic Peninsula of Washington State.
