Jayaram Ramineni
Jayaram Ramineni was an Indian fashion designer, and the first Telugu fashion designer whose work was commercially successful abroad.
Ramineni was born in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. After completing his studies he took up fashion design, and started his career in fashion industry. Many of his portfolios were published in national fashion magazines including Femina.
He later designed for Dia Mirza in the Miss India competition. He also designed for the Telugu films Lakshmi, starring Venkatesh,Nayana Tara and Chukkallo Chandrudu starring Siddartha, Salomi. Later he went to New Zealand and worked there for some time.
He also worked as a fashion designer for Gadde Sindhura, Femina Miss India World 2005 with whom he also worked in New Zealand.[1] He died in 2009.
