Jayasimha Musuri (born 17 February 1966) is an Indian film actor, director, producer and distributor known for his work in Kannada cinema. Portraying mostly comedic characters, he has appeared in over 50 films as an actor.[1][2][3][4][5]

Early life and career[edit]

Jayasimha Musuri is the son of legendary comedian Musuri Krishnamurthy. His brother, Gurudath Musuri, is also a cinematographer and producer. Prior to acting in films, he worked as a child dubbing artist voicing for children in over 70 movies.[6] He is known for his comedic roles in movies. The Times of India in a review of the film Durga Shakthi mentioned that his acting in the movie reminded everyone of his father.[7] He has also distributed more than 100 films, and has directed around 10 films and a tele-serial Thungaya Theeradalli. He is an active member in the Kannada film chamber.[8] He has participated in fasts and protests for the welfare of a lot of actors and producers from the Kannada film industry.[9][10][11]
