Hanumanthegowda or Hanumanthagowda (Kannada: ಹನುಮಂತೇಗೌಡ) (9 November 1962), is an Indian theatre, television and film actor in Kannada. He is known for supporting roles. Some of the films of Gowda as an actor including Jolly Days (2009), Namma Preethiya Ramu (2003), Kirik Party (2016) and Gentleman (2020).[1][2][3]
Personal life
Hanumanthegowda was born into an agrarian family in Chikkanayakanahalli, Tumkur district.[4] After completing his schooling in Tovinakere, Gowda moved to Bangalore to obtain a Bachelor's degree.[4]
He is married to Shashikala and they have two children.
Career
Hanumanthegowda started involving himself in theatre from his college days, which led him to appear in television serials. His first movie was Namma Preethiya Ramu in 2003.[5]
He gained popularity for his roles in Suntara Gali, Jolly Days, Care of Footbath-2 and Kirik Party.[6] In his career as an actor, Gowda is part of more than 35 Kannada films. He also made his Telugu debut through the 2018 film Kirrak Party, reprising his own role as college principal from Kirik Party (2016). He played the role of a corrupted MLA in the movie Hebbet Ramakka.[7][8]
