Jayden Wilson' (born October 1, 1999) is a Canadian Bantam ice

hockey Goaltender for the OCN Blues. Wilson

will be eligible for the 2017 NHL Entry Draft.

Wilson played minor hockey with the OCN Blues. In 2012-13 he recorded 25 wins and

8 losses for 33 games, and was named the Player of the Year. During a game against

the Prince Albert raiders AA on March 9, 2013, Wilson recorded one assist, giving

him 1 for the season and setting a new team record for assists by a rookie for a goalie.

He also tied Ron filder for most points by a first-year player with 1. In the team's final

game of the season, April 14 against the Norway house Norths stars, Wilson got 85

shots on him, giving him 83 total saves and passing Ron Filder most saves in a game.

Wilson finished the season with the most assists by a peewee rookie with 1 assist. In

recognition of his play, Wilson was awarded the Constants Family Award as the

top rookie in the peewee league.

Jayden Wilson played for a bantam team at the M.A.S.C.R in 2013 where the team

finished third out of 8 teams, while he was still in peewee.

Personal

Wilson was born on October 1, 1999. Wilson first skated at age 6, and was playing

hockey the next year; as he had to be 8-years-old, his parents lied about his age. When

Wilson was 8, the hockey association in his hometown of The

Pas would not let him play above his age group. Instead of having him play in the

lower level, Wilson parents enrolled him with a team in nearby Opaswakayak, where he played against players as old as 9-years-

old. Wilson would later join a team in Opaswakayak and

was coached by Fred Martin; the team would win four championships.

Wilson considered attending OCN blizzards and playing hockey for their team, the

OCN Blizzards.
