Jazz en Dominicana, is a project that since its inception in October 2006, has as primary goal the promotion of musical talents in the genre of Jazz in the Dominican Republic. The blog has to date published over 1,750 articles, festival & concert reviews, interviews, biographies, photographs and more about what they call los músicos del patio (the musicians from their backyard).

Since September of 2007 they have created and run various live music venues that provide the public with original and sometimes unique live concerts by mostly local musicians. During this period they have held over 1,200 events in which many groups made their official debut or presented their musical concepts; thematic concerts; tributes and more - the public in attendance has enjoyed all kinds of Jazz, Blues, Bossa and others. They have lived enriching moments of instrumental jazz and vocal presentations by more than 250 musicians and vocalists from all over our country and visiting artists from Haití, México, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Jamaica, Curacao, Aruba, Spain, France, Italy, Russia, Holland, Denmark, Belgium, Israel, Argentina, Brazil, Venezuela, Peru, Chile, Canada and the United States. If an average of 85 in attendance per event is used, more than 102,000 have so far enjoyed these.

By these means Jazz en Dominicana contribute to the culture of music, especially jazz, in the country.

OBJETIVES - Support the dissemination of the genre of jazz. - Help raise the musical-cultural level in the country. - Diversify the type of audience that enters the world of Jazz. - Contribute to increase available venues that offer live presentations by local musicians. - Serve as a reference tool for those interested in the subject, music lovers, musicians, educators and students, press, event organisers and the general public.

STATEMENTS Mission - To position and promote the genre of Jazz in the Dominican Republic. Vision - To be an important channel in the support of Dominican culture.


Jazz en Dominicana does the following: Blog - Main channel of informations related to Jazz in the Dominican Republic. (currently read in more than 54 countries) Venues - Design and run venues where music lovers can listen to jazz and offer opportunities to Dominican musicians so they may showcase their talents. Event Bookings & Artist Representation - local and international. Consultancy: Events, Concerts, Festivals, Design of Events, Concepts and Venues, Promotions - artists and event Media Presence: Written and Digital Press; Radio and Television; Social Media, Specialized Media
