- During the annual Park Vista Invitational "...Hutchison added some spice to the 400-meter relay when he fell and somersaulted as he began the anchor leg after taking the baton from freshman Christopher Grinley."[3]
- He finished off his senior year at the FHSAA 4A State Meet where he placed 3rd[4] in the 400 meter behind Hugh Graham Jr. and Arman Hall, and also running on the teams 4x400 and 4x800 relays at the meet.[1]

That indoor season would conclude with Hutchison further lowering his school record 400 time. That outdoor season Hutchison would run a personal best of 45.71 to qualify for the NCAA Championships individually and lead off the 4x400 meter relay[8] to qualify as well.
