Jedi Bob[edit]

Overview[edit]

Jedi Bob is a character from the film franchise Star Wars, his first and only appearance was in the 2002 7163 LEGO republic gunship set. Little is know about Jedi Bob, except that he was a member of the Jedi order during the Clone Wars and flew a LAAT gunship.

Name[edit]

In the Lego set in which he appears, Jedi Bob is not actually listed as Jedi bob, he is merely an unnamed Jedi, it was the fans who gave him the name bob, and later Jedi bob. This was semi-confirmed by Lego when in Lego Star Wars the visual dictional, when it referred to the character as '...this Jedi (whose name may have been Bob)' this text also confirmed that all records of him had been lost in the executions of order 66.

Appearance[edit]

Jedi Bob wears the standard brown Jedi cloak over grey robes, he has a grey beard, indicating age and a green lightsaber, which is seen as a sign of wisdom among Jedi. He appears to be a Caucasian male and has black eyes, although all Lego figures from the time share this eye color, so it impossible to tell his true eye color.

Reception[edit]

Jedi Bob has gained a fair amount of love, despite his limited appearances, he has become somewhat of a meme throughout the Lego Star Wars community. There has also been a significant amount of desire for him to appear in another Lego gunship set, or even become a canonical piece of Star Wars media. Miniature versions of Bob have sold on brick link from $75 to $175.
