Jeewan Gurung (Nepali: जीवन गुरुङ ; born 1984 AD) is a singer, musician, composer from Pokhara, Nepal. He is the lead singer of The Edge Band.[1] He had a very good voice and an attachment to music since his childhood, but his family background is not musical.[2][3][4]

Music career

In 2000, his band debuted with a single song, "Mero Aasu." The song succeeded in collecting cheers from Nepali music lovers within a week of its official release.[5] The song “Mero Ashu” became a turning point for his music career. Slowly, the band added two beautiful songs, "Pagal Nabhana" and "Jeewan Mero," and numerous jams and rehearsals to their album.[6] The Edge band was rocking everywhere; unfortunately, the first band members left due to their personal problems, but he continued his music career and formed a new band.[7] In 2006, their second album, *Vibes* with Bajra, was released.[8] Songs include "Thaha Chaina," "Kasailai Pani Ma," "Jiuna Lai Garo Bho," "Lekhiyeka Sabda," "Shanti ko Sandesh," and "Dukha Diyera."[9] The band added other beautiful numbers like "Samjhine Mutu," "YoDil Mero," "Nachaheko Hoina Timilai," "Muskan lea," "Timilai," and many other Nepali pop songs to their album.[10][11]
