Jef Miles is a Canadian producer DJ duo, consisting of Jeffrey David Harris and Myles Power. They are known for their single, "Lights (Feat. Laurell)" which garnered commercial success over streaming platforms, charting worldwide.[1][2][3]

Career[edit]

Harris and Powers met at a Tom Lee Music store in Vancouver, where Harris was looking for a new hobby, and Powers was teaching music production courses. Soon, the duo began producing music together, releasing independently on label, Twelve30 Records.

2015[edit]

Jef Miles released their first two tracks, "Follow Your Heart" and "Don't Stop". The two tracks combined have garnered over 600,000 streams[4] and growing, making them the second most successful singles to date, behind "Lights (Feat. Laurell).

In December, the duo released "Drake - Hotline Bling (Jef Miles Club Smash Remix)", which was aired on Tiësto's Club Life episode 453.[5]

2016[edit]

Jef Miles released "Lights (Feat. Laurell)" in June, which is their most successful single to date. Garnering over one million streams on Spotify,[4] the track has been featured on dance playlists, including "Fresh Electronic"[6] and "electroNOW".[7]

Later that year, "Hana Kuna (Feat. Simpson Bros)" was released, which reached Spotify - Canada Daily Viral 50 Chart[8] at #49. DJ Liquid Todd also aired the track on SiriusXM BPM's #betaBPM. "Hana Kuna (Feat. Simpson Bros)" was featured and reviewed by several EDM blogs.[9][10][11][12][13][14][15][16][17][18][19][20][21][22]

Their next release "Bring Me To Life (Feat. Rykka)"[23][24][25][26][27][28][29][30][31][32], is currently on regular rotation by KNHC.[33]

2017 - Present[edit]

Currently, the duo is working on their first EP.

DJ Liquid Todd played "Spirits (Feat. Bodhi Jones)" on his January 31st #betaBPM radio show.[34] "Spirits (Feat. Bodhi Jones)" was premiered on EDM Boutique[35], and covered by multiple EDM new outlets.[36][37][38][39][40][41][42][43][44][45][46][47] VINAI played the track on their radio show on February 2nd.[48]

On his Feb. 21st #betaBPM radio show, DJ Liquid Todd supported Jef Miles again by playing their new song, "WANTU2LUVME".[49] "WANTU2LUVME" was included in EDM Thrones' "March Top Picks".[50] ARTY and VINAI supported the track by featuring it on their respective radio shows. [51]

Jef Miles released "Black Rose (Feat. Tillymint)" in April[52][53][54][55][56], which was premiered on We Rave You.[57] DJ Liquid Todd also supported the track through his #betaBPM radio show on April 25th.[58] The track was featured several mix shows by ARTY, Dyro, and Benny Camaro.[59]

Upon hosting a remix contest for their track, "Lights (Feat. Laurell)"[60], Jef Miles selected 5 tracks for their first remix compilation "Lights: The Remixes" in May. [61] VINAI featured "Jef Miles - Lights (Vendon Remix)" in their We Are episode 183.[62]

In June, the duo released "London Rayne", which was premiered by EDM Sauce in North America[63] and Plain & Simple in the UK.[64]

Polar Radio[edit]

Polar Radio is Jef Miles' monthly mix show. Currently, it is syndicated on DI.FM,[65] JRFM Network,[66] Real Dance Radio,[67]XLTrax.com, and Mix247EDM. New episodes are aired the fourth week of every month.
