Jeff Harris born Jeffrey Lee Smith, March 22, 1970 in Bedford Pennsylvania. He was raised in Hollidaysburg PA and graduated from Hollidaysburg Area Sr. High School. He also known as Jeff, is a "American Country Music artist" and recording artist, songwriter, Musician and record producer.[1][2][3][4]

Early Life[edit]

This one time paperboy and construction worker began his radio career at WVAM Am in Altoona PA before attending college at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh, where he graduated in 1992.

While in College he worked as a Morning Show Producer for WDSY / Y 108 in Pittsburgh.

Music career[edit]

1991: Rockin the country[edit]

Harris along with friend Todd Adleff formed the Pittsburgh based country band 2 of a Kynd in 1990. The band performed in Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia and Maryland and released their first CD “Rockin’ the Country” in 1991.

1992: I Am What I Am[edit]

Harris’ first solo project and second CD “I Am What I Am” was released in 1992.

Harris relocated to Myrtle Beach South Carolina in 1992. He continued to work as a Disc Jockey at Gator 107.9.

At night he performed at “Charlie’s Night Life” in Murrells Inlet SC. along with owner Charlie Floyd.

1994: The Myrtle Beach Sessions[edit]

Harris’ third CD “The Myrtle Beach Sessions” was released in 1994.

1995 Harris moved west to Nashville and worked as a stagehand for Opryland Productions as well as an on air DJ at WSIX Radio.

In 1996 he moved to Columbus Georgia as a full time DJ at WKCN / Kissin 99.3. In 1997 Harris returned to Nashville and began working as a Production Manager / Promotions Manager / DJ for WSIX and WRWV Radio.

He continued songwriting and landed a publishing deal with Makin’ Music Publishing for the song “Along Came You” and was signed to ASCAP.

1998: The WSIX Session[edit]

Harris’ forth CD “The WSIX Session” (a collection of original demo recordings) was recorded but not released to the public.

In 1999 he signed with Atrium Music a small Nashville based independent record label.

2000: Music Man[edit]

In early 2000 he recorded his fifth CD “Music Man” featuring the debut of the song “Black & White World”.

In May 2000 he began touring Europe on solo acoustic gigs in bars, music festivals and cruise ships. To Date he has played thousands of shows in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, England, Finland, Germany, Holland, Switzerland, Turkey and Italy.

2003: Cafe Bizzaro[edit]

Harris’ sixth CD “Café Bizzaro” was released in 2003 and his songs “Jack Daniels’ & Me” and “Redneck Wife” were immediately picked up and played by country radio in Germany, France, Austria, Belgium and Australia. The song “One in a Million” was played on European TV.

Harris continued to tour The United States and Europe before making his debut appearance in Key West Florida in July of 2003 at Irish Kevin’s Bar.

2006: Live in Key West[edit]

His seventh CD “Live in Key West” was released in 2006.

2007: The Party Starts Here[edit]

In 2006 Harris began working with Producer Alvin Hell, a Boston Native living in Helsinki Finland. The collaboration brought about his eighth album “The Party Starts Here” featuring the songs “Simon Can’t Sing”, “Black & White World” (remake) “Waffle House Love”, “My Dog”, “Just Drive” and “A Love Like That”. The CD was released in 2007.

Along with Alvin Hell, Harris also wrote and recorded a song called “Money” used in the Finnish Film Biisonimafia 2

2009: Simon Can’t Sing[edit]

His ninth CD “Simon Can’t Sing” a compilation of previous songs was released in 2009.

2010: Raw[edit]

In 2010 he also released his tenth CD a two song EP called “Raw” featuring his songs The Boobies Song and The Break Up Song.

2013: Angels & Scars[edit]

In 2012 He released his eleventh CD “Angels & Scars” featuring the songs, Never Get to Heaven, Beautiful Life, Afterglow, Scars, All the Good Ones and Trailer Park Girl. The single Scars was released to Country Radio in April 2013.

In August 2012 Jeff performed for the U.S. Military Over Seas in Turkey and Italy as part of Armed Forces Entertainment.

He was also on the roster of featured writers for The Annual Key West Songwriters Festival.

2014: No Filter[edit]

His twelfth and latest CD “No Filter”, a collection of original comedy songs written by Harris and recorded live in Key West was released in April 2014.

To date he still continues to perform, tour and write.

Harris is married and is the father of a son.
