Jeff Lowder (born September 19, 1973) is an American business executive and well known atheist. He is a cybersecurity executive at Crowdstrike. He has served as the President of the Society of Information Risk Analysts.[1] He previously served as the CISO of OpenMarket and REI.[2]
Early life and education
Lowder was born in 1973. After moving to Seattle he enrolled at Seattle Pacific University and earned a degree in computer science.
Career
Lowder has been the CISO at companies such as Disney, OpenMarket and REI.[2]. During his leadership, the Walt Disney Company acquired ABC Inc, ESPN, Pixar and Club Penguin[3].
He is currently writing a book called the Information Risk Management Body of Knowledge (IRMBOK)[4]
Atheism
Frank Turek has called Lowder the smartest person he has debated[5]. In 1995, Jeff Lowder and Brett Lemoine founded Internet Infidels, a website of educational resources about agnosticism, atheism, freethought, humanism, secularism, and other nontheistic viewpoints. The site has been referred to by one of its critics, Christian apologist Gary Habermas, as "one of the Internet's main Web sites for skeptics"[6] and by skeptical physicist Taner Edis as "a major Web site serving nonbelievers".[7]

Jeff is married and has two children.
