Jeffrey Cain Thompson (born February 19, 1972 ) is an American musician, producer and composer.[1][2] He is a guitarist and writer for alternative rock band Remy Zero and composes music for film and television.[3][4][5] In 2002 he received the ASCAP Film and Television Music Award for the theme song to Smallville and a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for the Outstanding Original Main Title Theme Music to Nip/Tuck in 2004.[6][7] [8] In 2011 he founded the Birmingham, Alabama based record label Communicating Vessels.[9] Cain has collaborated on two albums with Australian singer Steve Kilbey under the name Isidore.[10][11][12] Since 2017 he has performed as a multi-instrumentalist for the Australian rock band The Church.[13][14][15][16]
