Jeffrey J. Kroll (born February 24, 1964) is a Chicago, Illinois based trial lawyer. He a partner at Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C., which specializes in cases involving personal injury and wrongful death.
Early Life and Education[edit]
Jeffrey Kroll was born and raised in Brighton Park, a neighborhood located six miles southwest of downtown Chicago. Shortly before high school, his family moved to Orland Park, Illinois where he attended Marist High School and he graduated in 1982. He attended University of Wisconsin-Whitewater for two years and transferred to DePaul University and graduated with degrees in Finance and Economics and also attended DePaul University for his Juris Doctorate, graduating in 1990.
Professional career[edit]
Jeffrey Kroll joined Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C. as a Partner in February 2013 after representing injured victims of negligence for more than two decades.[1] An article on Mr. Kroll’s move was featured in the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin,“Kroll adds third act to law career.” Prior to joining Salvi, Schostok, & Pritchard, Mr. Kroll founded his own firm in 2007. He spent 17 years, including the last seven as a partner, with the Clifford Law Offices. Kroll has tried personal injury and wrongful death cases not only in Chicago, but in surrounding counties, downstate Illinois, and several surrounding states.
Mr. Kroll has achieved record personal injury settlements and verdicts in a wide range of areas, including car accidents, construction site accidents, trucking accidents, work place injuries, products liability and medical malpractice. He has been interviewed in the media and in publications such as WBBM-AM CBS 780, CBS 2 Chicago,[2] ABC 7 Chicago,[3] Fox News,[4]Chicago Tribune,[5] Chicago Sun Times, and The National Law Bulletin.[6] He has taught courses on Deposition Practicum at the John Marshall Law School and courses on medical malpractice at the DePaul University College of Law and trial advocacy at both the Northwestern University School of Law and DePaul.

- Mr. Kroll is a member of the National Trial Lawyers, which is an organization that identifies the Top 100 trial lawyers in each state.[7]
- He was recently selected by his peers for inclusion in the Best Lawyers of America 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014.[8] He was the youngest personal injury attorney to receive this honor.[9]
- In 2002, he was selected by The National Law Journal as one of the Top 40 Attorneys Under the Age of 40 and was the sole personal injury lawyer from the Midwest selected.

Notable Cases[edit]
Some cases on which Mr. Kroll has served as an attorney for the victims of negligence:
- Rob Komosa was left a quadriplegic after a spinal injury during a 1999 high school football practice. He sued Township High School District 214 for negligence. The case was settled for $12.5 million.[15]
- The estate of James Burroughs, a Greenville, SC man who died of colon cancer, received a jury verdict of $7 million for a medical malpractice suit. The verdict was reduced by 50% for a net verdict of $3.5 million.[16]
- Kenneth R. Kukla was struck by a vehicle that crossed the center line, resulting in a fractured ankle, dislocated hip and a sustained limp accompanied by chronic pain. The case was settled for $6.85 million.[17]
- Debra Jean Cunningham, 49, was struck and killed by a semi tractor trailer. Her case was settled for $1.495 million, the largest wrongful death settlement involving a car and semi-trailer for a female in Vermilion County as of March 2009[update].[18]
- Jordyn Bankston, 15, was mauled by a dog while riding his bike in Zion, IL. His case settled for $1.125 million, the largest published dog bite settlement in Illinois history, according to the Jury Verdict Reporter.[19]
- Eddie Martinez was on a CTA Blue Line train when it derailed in 2006. He emerged from the incident with a large gash in his right leg and emotional trauma. Martinez' was the first case to go to trial and received a jury verdict of $135,000.[20]
- Brett McDaniel was killed when his bicycle collided with an ambulance in 2007 in Golconda, Illinois. His family alleged the ambulance was going over the speed limit. The family was $1.2 million, a record verdict in Pope County, Illinois.[21]
