Jegathesan Durairaj (ITJEGAN)

Jegathesan Duraij (born 7 October 1980) is an Indian Stock Market Trader, Investor, Strategist, Trainer. He is a Mathematician, an Ex - software professional and now a full-time Risk Defined Option Trader. He manages his own portfolio and tutoring members who are eager to learn his strategies.

He is one of the Prime Option Traders in India.

Early Life

Jegan was born on 7 October 1980 in a village Chettiarpatti, Rajapalayam Taluk, Tamilnadu, India, into a below-average Tamil family. His father Durairaj was a mason for daily wages and his mother, Mother Saroja Devi was a housewife who expired in his early age.

Jegan graduated with a Bachelor of Mathematics in 2000 from his rural area Rajapalayam Rajus' College and then he pursued his MCA from ANJAC in 2003. Then he started his career as a software professional and worked in Top MNCs for more than 15 years.

He was inspired by the book Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki. He looked for various business avenues to accumulate wealth with small capital. One such avenue was trading in equity markets which requires small capital to start with.

One thing that struck him from the book was to imitate what the rich men do. In his reading on the markets, he found out that the big institutions and rich investors traded in options, that too in selling options or writing options. That stopped him and tend to chase Index-Options.

He had gone through many workshops, read books and articles to learn about option selling and ever since he has been an option Trader.

He won Zerodha - 60 Day challenge 10 times consecutively in a row. With his Open Book Strategies, he is the most known identity in twitter as itjegan, with huge followers.

He is the mastermind of CapitalZone - Active Option Trading where Traders can avail Trading Chart with customized indicators, FNO tools, and Payoff analysis. His keynote is to provide the whole of the FNO deeds to be handy for Traders in a sole place.

He is one of the prime speakers in Traders Carnival 2018 & Investor Carnival 2019 and he made his live expiry trading.

He had a vital presentation in the Option Conclave 2019 about Big Boy Strategies.
