Jellson Jabilin, born 24 February 2001 in Sabah, is a Malaysian diver. He competes in the 10 m individual platform and 10 m synchronised platform. He has represented Malaysia in various diving events such as 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games, 2018 Asian Games, 2018 Summer Youth Olympics, 2019 World Aquatics Championships and the 2017 Southeast Asian Games.
Career
He competed at the Southeast Asian Games where he competed in the 10 m platform synchronised together with Hanis Nazirul, where they both took home a gold medal with 384.12 points.[1] In the 6th Leg of the Diving Grand Prix in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, he got a gold medal in the mixed 10 m synchronised platform with Cheong Jun Hoong and a silver medal in the 10 m synchronised platform with Hanis Nazirul. At the 8th Leg, in Gold Coast, Australia, he got a silver medal in the mixed 10 m synchronised platform with Cheong Jun Hoong and a bronze medal in the 10 m synchronised platform with Hanis Nazirul.
He competed in the 2018 Commonwealth Games at Gold Coast, Australia, and placed 4th in the 10 m synchronised platform with Hanis Nazirul with 385.80 points. He was the second male diver to compete at the Youth Olympic Games, where he competed at the 2018 Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires, Argentina, which he placed 4th in the 10 m individual platform with a personal best of 513.25 points and 7th in the mixed 10 m synchronised platform with Mélodie Leclerc of Canada. At the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta-Palembang, Indonesia, he placed 7th in the preliminary and later 8th in the finals, and 5th in the 10 m synchronised platform with Hanis Nazirul.
At the 2019 World Aquatics Championships diving event in Gwangju, South Korea, he placed 30th in the 10 m individual platform and 13th in the synchronised event, missing one place to the finals. He got a gold at the Diving Grand Prix in Australia and silver in Malaysia in the 10 m synchronised event.
