Jellycat was founded by two brothers in London in 1999 before the new year. They made lots of unsuccessful plushies that lost them a lot of money.
Soon, they began to pick up sales and started to make a profit. They made a long lasting contract with John Lewis and Waterstones, a book store chain in the UK.
Success
After 2010, Jellycat became a major company that succeeded in the UK. They began operating in the US and Canada in 2012 and became a major brand in 2017.
Jellycat was now a household name known for both high quality and overpriced plushies.
Ranges
Jellycat has many ranges. Starting with My First Jellycat, a brand of plushies made for babies.
They also own the well known Bashful range, with the famous Bashful Bunny, well known on social media, and the Jellycat Bashful Monkey.
