The Jeongsa Rock Council (Hangul: 정사암회의; Hanja: 政事巖會議) or called Cheonjeongdae (Hangul: 천정대; Hanja: 天政臺) served as the chief royal council in Baekje.
It is a historic site located in Buyeo County, where the premier was elected during the late Baekje Period. It is located on a rocky cliff along the Baekma River(白馬江, 백강), which is upstream of the Geum River. This large rock is called the Jeongsa Rock(政事巖). The meeting of the aristocrats held here is called the Jeongsa Rock Council(政事巖會議).[1]
It is a meeting of Baekje aristocrats in the Samguk Yusa. It is presumed that nobles higher than Dalsol attended the council. The Jeongsa Rock Council discussed major state affairs, including the election of the premier, and held a regular ceremony here. Unlike the Hwabaek Council, which was a noble council of Silla during the same period, it was decided by a majority vote.[lower-alpha 1]
