Jess Manafort is an American director and writer.
Biography[edit]
Manafort directed Remember the Daze. She also wrote and directed another film, a short called Liminality. It has been announced she will reunite with Amber Heard and Leighton Meester in a pre-menopausal version of Thelma & Louise called Cowgirl Bandits. The film, which Manafort will direct, is yet to enter production.
Jessica Manafort was born on June 13, 1982 in Alexandria, Virginia where she grew up in the historic Mount Vernon district. Her father, Paul Manafort, is a Washington lawyer, lobbyist.].[1] He was Donald Trump's campaign chairman.[2]
In 2000, Manafort was accepted to the New York University's Tisch School of the Arts after the school confirmed her family's potential as donors.[citation needed] She graduated from NYU in the Fall of 2004 with honors. In 2005, she received the Richard Vague Grant for her upcoming project, a feature film entitled The Beautiful Ordinary (released in 2007 as Remember the Daze). Manafort's primary source of financing has been through her father, Paul Manafort, as he spent millions of dollars funding her one independent feature and five short films.[3].
In March 2017, Manafort filed for divorce from her husband, Jeffrey Yohai. In September 2017 he alleged that Paul Manafort had misled the federal authorities in the 2017 Special Counsel investigation [4].
Jessica currently resides in New York City.
