Jessica is the solo act for singer and songwriter Jessica Cassar, best known for being one half of Sydney Goth Folk duo Jep and Dep.[1][2][3]

History[edit]

Jessica Cassar's first foray into music was being one half of the Sydney Folk-Goth duo Jep and Dep with Ex-Gerling front man Darren Cross.

As Jep and Dep, the duo independently released two albums Word Got Out (2014) and THEY'VEBEENCALLED (2017).[4][5][6] They also toured and supported acts as The Black-eyed Susans, The Apartments, Jessica Pratt, Johnny Marr,[7] Low, Mirel Wagner, Aldous Harding and Courtney Barnett.[citation needed]

Her debut solo album The Space Between[8] received a 4-star review from Rolling Stone saying "The Space Between Is a Masterclass of Ethereal Brilliance"[1] and Backseat Mafia saying The Space Between is "an immerse masterpiece of haunting dream pop".[9]
