Jessica Dietrich (born 1989)[1] is an Australian journalist who is a reporter with Seven News in Sydney.[1]

She is also the Sydney correspondent on Sunrise, having served in this role since April 2015.

Career[edit]

Originally from Perth, Dietrich obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations, Advertising and Applied Communication from Edith Cowan University, after which she did a post graduate diploma at WAAPA for Broadcasting, during which she did a year's worth of work experience at 6PR, as well as at the Seven Network's Perth and Sydney news headquarters.[2]

Dietrich moved to Sydney at the end of 2011 and started work as a casual news producer at the Seven Network as well as a news reporter for Sydney radio station 2GB. She left both roles in June 2013, and that month joined Seven News Sydney as a reporter. In April 2015, she was appointed the Sydney correspondent on the Seven Network's national breakfast program, Sunrise, though on-air she is addressed as being a 7 News Reporter rather than Sydney correspondent, like the other cities.
