Jian-Shan Junior High School (尖山國民中學) is located in Yingge District, New Taipei City, Republic of China (Taiwan), a small suburb of the capital Taipei. It is a public junior high school.

School profile[edit]

Founded in September 1989, the school has a total area of 3.2 hectares, with an enrolment of around 450 students. Classes are divided into three grades with a total of 15 regular sessions. The school also has a resource room and a kindergarten subsidiary. The total staff number is about 60 people.

Student organizations[edit]

Different types of activities are provided in the school including three sports clubs - martial arts community, dance community, wrestling community[1] - which are joined by students and have won competitions in Taiwan.

International[edit]

In 2010 the school became a partner of AIESEC (Association Internationale des Étudiants en Sciences Économiques et Commerciales). Some foreign students come to the school during some months to teach English and help pupils discover their own culture. These students generally come from Japan, France, Canada, Malaysia and Indonesia.

In 2009, some students joined the dialogue in Asia, and the United Kingdom and South Korea both have student exchange between the two countries. [1]
