Jim Colerick
James “Jim” Colerick (born 1950s) is an American Republican who “supposedly” worked at the now defunct West Dubuque 2nd Church of Christ and is mostly known for the very popular YouTube music video Rappin' for Jesus which gained nationwide popularity alongside his wife Mary Sue. The video was uploaded by Brian Spinney and gained over 54 million views and over 1.1 million likes as of June 2019.
Career
Not much is known about Colerick or his wife Mary Sue besides them being Iowa residents along with their music hit Rappin For Jesus made in 2013, which was criticized for its use of the N-word, Christian references, and supposed purpose for youth. Considering the West Dubuque 2nd Church of Christ was permanently closed in 2004 due to unknown reasoning, the church was claimed to be fake. It was eventually claimed the video was to be a hoax and meant for entertainment purposes.
