Jim Dodge is an Orland Park Village Trustee, and was a Republican candidate for Illinois State Comptroller in 2010.[1][2]

Dodge has served as Orland Village Trustee since 1996, and had previously served as Orland Park Village Clerk. Dodge has served on the board of directors of Metra.

In 2010 Dodge ran against popular State Comptroller Judy Baar Topinka. The two faced off in the Republican primary.

Dodge served as a vice chairman for the Federation of Illinois Young Republicans for Cook County in the late 1980s, and served as Orland Township Republican Committeeman from 1994 to 1996.[3]

Dodge was a sergeant in Illinois Army National Guard and served in the 178th Infantry Battalion and 44th RAOC from 1988 to 1998.[3]

Dodge has Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Depaul University and has an MBA from the University of Chicago[2] Dodge serves as a Vice President of The Nielsen Company.[4]

Jim Dodge serves as a member of the Government Finance Officers Association, he also serves on the Saint Xavier Orland Park Advisory Board and is a member of the American Legion Post #111.

in 2017, Dodge announced he was running For Illinois Treasurer.[5] He called out House Speaker Mike Madigan and other Democrats. Within his own party, Dodge says he agrees with Bruce Rauner. “Of the choices, I would rather prefer Governor Rauner versus anybody that’s on the Democrat side, and I think he’s doing all he can in near impossible circumstances to put Illinois on the right track," he said.[6]
