The Jimmy’s Waterhole fire was a wildfire in Manchester Township, New Jersey that burned more than 4,000 acres (1,600 hectares).[1] By 10:00 p.m ET April 13, 2023 the fire was 100% contained.[2] The Fire Command Post was set up at the Whiting Volunteer Fire Department building in Whiting, located at the intersection of Cherry St. and Lacey Rd (CR-530) More than 75 structures were threatened by the fire. The fire was the first major wildfire in New Jersey of 2023, kicking off a season of large wildfires.
