Jimmy Jean is an American football cornerback for the New England Patriots of the National Football League (NFL). He was signed as an undrafted free agent following the 2015 NFL draft by the Patriots.[1] He played college football for Alabama-Birmingham.
Early years
Jean was born in Pompano Beach, Florida. He attended the same high school (Blanche Ely High) as other NFL players Patrick Peterson, Corey Simon, and Tyrone Carter among others. In high school, he was a standout basketball forward and played very little football.[2]
College
Jean attended Arkansas Baptist College for his first two years of college before transferring to Alabama-Birmingham. In his last year at Arkansas Baptist, he was named Arkansas Baptist's 2012 College Player of the Year.[3] During his two years (2013-2014) at Alabama-Birmingham, he logged 3 interception while playing in 24 games.[4]
