Jin Yulan, born in December 1948 in Beijing, is a member of the Aisin-Gioro clan more commonly known as the Qing dynasty (1644-1912). He is the youngest son of Jin Youzhi, formerly known as Prince Puren, former head of the imperial family.[1] Jin Yulan is the grandson of Zaifeng, Prince Chun and the nephew of Puyi last emperor of China. His eldest brother, Jin Yuzhang, head of the Aisin-Gioro clan, is vice-chairman of Chongwen District City Council, and his second brother Jin Yuquan is vice-president of the College of Energy and Environmental Protection. Environment of Beijing Polytechnic University.
During the Cultural Revolution, Jin Yulan is sent to the countryside in Henan to Xinxiang Village. Back in Beijing in 1992, he became a literature teacher at Peace Street High School (和平街中学校) in Chaoyang District. Now retired, he is a member of the advisory council of the municipal district of Chaoyang.
