Jing Cao (Chinese: 曹静) is an associate professor in the School of Economics and Management, Tsinghua University.[1] Cao received her Ph.D. in Public Policy from Harvard University in 2007.[1] As an alumna, she is now working on a Harvard-China Project, which aims to seek solutions for global climate change, air quality, energy systems, and economic development, as a collaborator.[2][3] Her research areas includes economics of the environment, energy economics, integrated modeling of economic and environment system, climate change economics and modeling, productivity and economic growth.[4]

Early life and education[edit]

Jing Cao first received Geology offer from Tsinghua University[5]. During her second year at the university, she decided to minor in law because it was very popular among her peers.[5] However, she soon realized that she did not enjoy that at all. Therefore, she chose to minor in economics instead.[5]

In 1998, Jing Cao graduated from Peking University with B.S. in Geology and B.A in Economics degree.[1]

In 2001, Jing Cao completed her M.S. in Environmental Sciences from Peking University.[1]

In 2007, Jing Cao received her Ph.D. in Public Policy from Harvard University.[1]
