Jitendra ‘Jitu’ Mahnot (born 11 August, 1969) is an Indian entrepreneur and investor.[1] He is best known as the founder and CEO of Startech Engineers and CEO of AIGUA Sprinkler & Hydrant Pvt. Ltd. Startech Engineers provides turnkey integrated solutions in fire safety, electronic security and building management systems.

He is known for having created history by acquiring AIGUA (a subsidiary of a Fortune 500 company, Tyco Fire & Security, one of the global market leaders in fire and safety) along with their 40+ humungous ongoing projects.[2] They provide specialised fire protection solutions to industries, warehouses, airports and other infrastructure.
He has also written a number of articles on fire safety and security.[3]

Mahnot graduated from University of Mumbai with an electronics engineering degree. He is a certified marketing professional from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK).
He started his career as a sales executive in 1991, moving up the ranks to become a Marketing Manager at Vimal Fire. He left Vimal Fire in 2003 to start his own venture, Startech Engineers, within the same domain - fire safety and security. In 2015, he created history by acquiring AIGUA Sprinkler & Hydrant Pvt Ltd, the first acquisition by an Indian SME of a giant MNC division in the fire protection industry. The amount remains undisclosed.
He is currently a Chairman at FSAI (Fire Safety Association of India) and has been associated with them in various capacities. He has been actively involved in promoting “Surakshit Bharat” through different events of FSAI like Seminars, Safe Secure Ganesh Mandal awards, FSAI Corporate Cricket Jung and many others.[4]

Mahnot lives in Mumbai with his wife, Dr. Prerana Mahnot, and two kids (aged 19 and 23).
