Jitendra Ankushrao Dehade (born 2 August 1978) is a Congress leader from the state of Maharashtra.[1] He is a member of the Indian National Congress party from Aurangabad District.[2]

Early Life and Education

Jitendra Ankushrao Dehade was born in Pimpri Raja Village, Aurangabad District. He completed his Masters and Ph.D. in Botany from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad.[3]

Political career

Jitendra Dehade is currently the General Secretary, Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee.[4] Earlier, he was also the Working President, Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee, S.C. Cell. He was the official candidate of Aurangabad West Constituency for the 2014 Maharashtra State Assembly Elections.[5]

His career started in the year 2000 as the District Vice President, National Students Union of India (NSUI).[6] He later became a member of the Maharashtra Pradesh Youth Congress and was elevated to the post of General Secretary, Vice President, and Secretary.[7] He is involved in various public outreach activities as a leader of the Congress party in Maharashtra, taking up various organizational roles for the Indian National Congress in his political career.[8] Jitendra Dehade was also the Director of Mumbai Agriculture Produce Market Committee and Senate Member of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University.[9]
