Jitesh Kumar Parida (born 24 June 1980) is an Indian film director, producer, and writer known for his work in Odia Film Industry and also advertising industry. He has directed and produced numerous television commercials and documentaries for various ministries and clients before venturing into filmmaking.[1]

Film career[edit]

Jitesh Kumar has been representing the Cannes Film Festival for the past four years. NFDC has given platforms in Cannes to collaborate with various countries.[2]

In an interview for an Odia channel he said, "As an Odia, he always dreamt of making Odia films to showcase worldwide, where he believes that Odisha has the full potential of shooting locations".[3]

Jitesh Kumar has shot a bilingual feature film titled T in 2023 in Odisha, which is based on the real-life incidents of Meghna Sahoo, India's first transgender cab driver. The first look of the poster and trailer of the film was unveiled at the 75th Cannes Film Festival in 2022. The film has won several international awards across the globe.[4]
