Jive Communications was founded in Orem, UT in 2006. The founders have enjoyed access to Utah's wealth of technical and business professionals.[1] Jive Communications has grown more than 100 percent annually for the last three years.[2] Jive primarily services the United States and Canada and has recently begun expansion to international destinations[3] and has acquired several regional VoIP providers to expand its market reach.[4]
Products[edit]
All of Jive’s network runs on Jive Cloud, a proprietary, cloud-based platform. Jive Cloud has been built in-house to provide a reliable and economical hosted communication platform.
Jive does not bring any legacy telecom assets to the cloud communications market. Instead, it utilizes the software-as-a-service (SaaS) model by focusing on differentiated value-adds such as the user experience and agile feature development.
Jive develops its own cloud communications platform, which allows it to innovate more rapidly and cost-effectively than providers that rely on a third-party platform. Its platform is based on open industry standards, which facilitates integration with other session initiation protocol (SIP)-based components and applications. The company's flexible network architecture features a cloud design that accommodates dynamic routing, load balancing, self-healing, and distributed computing.[5]

Jive also received a preferred provider agreement from the State of California, through the CALNET3 contract.[16][17]
