Joan Francés Blanc (Jean-François in French, Agen, 8th December 1961)[1] is an Occitan writer and lexicographer.
Biography[edit]
In 1996, he, along with Domergue Sumien and others, contributed to the "escrituras descobertistas" manifesto.[2] He writes short stories in Gascon[3] as well as in Lengadocian.[4] He also published a science fiction novel written in Gascon, titled Heisei, in 1998.[5][6][7]
He is also an activist in the Paris branch of the Institut d'Estudis Occitans[8] and participates in multiple lexicography efforts: Gidilòc,[9] DiGaM,[10][11] and the IEO IT glossary.[12]
