Jodrell Professor of Physiology
The Jodrell Professor of Physiology is an endowed chair at University College London. It was endowed by T J Phillips Jodrell in 1874 (the Jodrell Chair of Zoology and Comparative Anatomy was endowed shortly after). [1]. The Jodrell chair succeeded the previous chair in anatomy and physiology.
Two Jodrell Professors, Archibald Hill and Andrew Huxley, have gone onto win the Nobel prize in physiology or medicine, with others also making significant contributions to the field.
