Joe Fisher (Event host presenter)
Joe Fisher is a UK based presenter for Television and live events. He has worked on various high profile events within sport and entertainment. In 2012 he was one of the stadium announcers for the London Olympic games based in Manchester at old Trafford where he announced for the football tournaments.
Joe began his professional presenting career in 2001 as a stadium announcer for Southampton FC. He was the pitch side announcer introducing the players onto the pitch and hosting pre-match and half time entertainment. He then went on to be the warm-up man and event host for the BBC Children in Need live concerts until 2005. These were in Portsmouth. [1] Carlisle, [2] and Blackpool.
Introducing artists such as Hearsay, Steps, Atomic Kitten, Gareth gates etc.
Also in 2002, Joe was the event host for the Queens Jubilee Baton Relay for the Manchester Commonwealth Games, which was a 50 day tour around the UK, ending in Manchester. [4]
In 2007, Joe hosted the Transport for London Tour de France Roadshow around the UK, promoting the coming of the grand depart for the Tour De France starting in London that year. [5]
In 2009, Joe became the finish line commentator for the Tour of Britain and the tour series. The Tour of Britain being the UK 's largest professional bike race.
In 2012 Joe was the stadium announcer for the Olympic Games football tournaments at Old Trafford, also in 2012, Joe was the television presenter for 'View It Love It Live It', a property program about the South West of England which was aired on information TV on Sky and free sat
In 2013 and 2014, Joe was the announcer and commentator for Ride London, the Worlds largest cycling festival.
He is well known for his loud and energetic style of presenting, encouraging the crowds to 'bang those boards' and the well-known shout of 'hup hup hup'
