Joe Greco is a former English actor, presenter, camera man and puppeter best known for his appearances in various Emu's TV programmes from 1982 to 1986.
Career[edit]
He attended the Corona Theatre School from the age of 11, making his debut in the Emu's World that year. and would appear until he was 15.
In the 90s he appeared as an actor in shows such as Spatz, where he played Vince, and in an episode of Poirot where he playedAlfred Biggs. He also portrayed Jimmy in Spin Off, a segment on ITV Saturday morning show Motormouth.
After this, he moved more into presenting,The DJ Kat Show from 1993 to the shows end in 1995.
After this his career moved towards puppeteering and he appeared in shows such as Bug Alert (1996), Jay's World (1996) and The Timekeepers of the Millennium.[1]
He currently works as a cameraman and director in the corporate sector.
Personal Life[edit]
He was born in London in 1971 to an English mother and Italian father . He has an older brother and an older sister who also attended the Corona Theatre School.
He is married to performer and puppeteer Sheila Clark. The couple have twin daughters and live outside of London.
Internet Meme[edit]
In 2016, a clip from Emu's All Live Pink Windmill Show featuring Greco went viral on the internet. The clip, in which each member of the Pink Windmill Kids introduce themselves by singing a greeting, features Greco telling the audience "And I'm Joe to you!". The clip became so popular, that in 2017, Greco, along with the rest of the cast recreated the opening of the clip for Comic Relief. The original video has over 12 million views, while the remake has more than 3 million views on YouTube.
