Joe Reagan (born November 24, 1981) is an US businessman, military veteran, and politician who ran for the United States representative for Colorado's 5th congressional district in 2024.[1]
Reagan lost a two-way primary by fewer than 500 votes[2]. He was endorsed by the Welcome PAC and New Politics, two organizations who believed his military credentials and moderate policy platform would resonate with the district’s center-right independent voters.[3]
Early life and career
Reagan was born in Salem, Massachusetts in 1981.[4] He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Norwich University in 2004, and an MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business in 2016.[5]
Reagan is a former US Army officer and graduate of the Army Ranger.[6] He served two tours of duty in Afghanistan as part of the 10th Mountain Division as part of Task Force Spartan. Reagan took part in Operation Andar Fury in 2006 as a platoon leader in the 10th Mountain Division; he was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for service and the Purple Heart after he was injured during a suicide bombing attack. After his service, Reagan spent most of his professional career in the non-profit sector working for Easterseals and Wreaths Across America. [7]
