Joe Vito (born Joseph Vitagliano, December 30, 1998) is an American singer-songwriter,[1] multi-instrumentalist,[2] and producer. He is best known for his two released EPs, State Street and Her Songs (2016),[3][4] which were released by Valley of the Sun Records. His music has elements of indie rock, folk rock, jazz, and lo-fi.[5]
Life and career
Joe Vito began playing music at age 10, taking lessons for saxophone and bassoon,[6] and by age 12 he was playing guitar and writing songs. He has taken lessons and attended courses taught by many musicians such as Art Garfunkel,[7][8] Carol Kaye,[9] Tony Trischka, Darol Anger, and Matt Glaser.[10]
In 2016 he recorded his debut EP titled State Street which was released on April 2.[11] Three months later, on July 10, he released a follow-up EP titled Her Songs.
