Joel Karsberg (Born August 5, 1978) is an award-winning Swedish- American producer and director based in Los Angeles[1].[2] [3]Born in Sweden, Karsberg moved to the States in 2014.[4] He and his wife, Frida, have two children, Majken and Frank. He is the founder and president of Kreativ Inc.[5][6]
Early Life[edit]
Joel Karsberg was born in Stockholm, Sweden,[7] to parents Johan Karsberg and Irene Karsberg.
Career[edit]
1997-2009[edit]
Karsberg started his career in 1997 as a producer for Strix Television, a production company in Sweden. After working for three years there, he worked as an executive producer for seven years at one of Sweden's top production firms, Jarowiski.[7]
2010 – 2017[edit]
In 2010, Karsberg joined Zodiak Media as a chief creative officer. After working there for four years, he was promoted to CEO USA in 2014. He was also the chairman of the international development board for Zodiak. There Karsberg was tasked with overseeing the development of new programming for 48 subsidiaries in 15 different countries.[8][7]
In his 25 years of career, he has produced numerous shows for American and Scandinavian networks. As an executive producer, he has worked on the notable documentary Surviving R Kelly (Lifetime),[9] as well as The Selection (History),[10] Undressed (MTV),[11] Celebrity Wife Swap (ABC), Planet Primetime (Travel), and Dropped (TV4).[8][7][12][13]
Kreativ Inc.[edit]
In 2017, Karsberg founded Kreativ Inc. [14]Kreativ Inc. is a production company that creates content for broadcast, cable, and streaming platforms. Notable titles include Surviving R Kelly (Lifetime), Prize of silence (Viaplay).[15]
Karsberg has received several Emmy nominations.[1] [16]His work had honored with the Press program of the year award,[17] MTV Movie Award,[18] Critics Choice Award,[19] and the Peabody Award.[20][2][21][22][23]

Karsberg has married Frida Karsberg. They have two kids, Majken and Frank, together.
