Joelle Gamble is an American economist. On May 7, 2022, she was appointed Chief Economist of the United States Department of Labor by Marty Walsh, the 29th United States Secretary of Labor. She previously served in the National Economic Council from January 2021 to May 2022 as Special Assistant to the President for Economic Policy, and as an Economic Policy Advisor to President Biden's transition team.[1]
Education
Joelle Gamble received her B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2019 and her Master of Public Affairs from Princeton University's School of Public and International Affairs in 2019.[2]
Career
Prior to joining the Biden administration, Joelle Gamble was a principal for the Omidyar Network's 'Reimagining Capitalism' project. Earlier, she was the director of the Roosevelt Institute's national network.
