Jofin T. Chacko is a Indian film director who debuted with the Mammootty and Manju Warrier starrer 2021 horror mystery thriller film The Priest.[1]
Early Life and Family[edit]
Jofin T. Chacko was born on November 11, 1991 as the son of Tm Chacko and Annamma Chacko. He hails from Mundur, a village in Palakkad district of Kerala. He is married to Ancy Elias.
Career[edit]
After completing degree, Jofin joined at a film school in Kochi to learn more about film making. After that he started Muyal Media which was one of the first online film marketing ventures in Malayalam. Following that he worked as a associate director in the films and ads helmed by Jis Joy, a Malayalam film director.[2]
His debut as an independent film director happened with the 2021 movie The Priest. Scripting of this horror mystery thriller started at the early 2015 and it was produced by Anto Joseph and B. Unnikrishnan.[3] The movie marked the first ever onscreen association of Mammooty and Manju Warrier.[4] The movie was well received by the critics and the audience, and turned out to be a blockbuster at the box office.[5]
