Nnamani Chimaobi John, (born April 11, 2006), known professionally as JohNel NG, is a Nigerian rapper, singer and songwriter known for his hit singles, Kolo[1] and Dance released 2022.[2][3]

Early Life[edit]

JohNel NG is from Enugu. He was born in Lagos. He started rapping and singing at the age of 13 while he went after the stage name ‘JohNel’. Because of his passion for music, he formed a music crew called ‘Triggerz’ consisting of three rappers including himself, but due to some issues, the crew separated in less than a year of their collaboration.[4]

Music career[edit]

In September 2022, his afrobeat single, Kolo made waves in the country and in the Arabic music platform Anghami, which reached top 5 on African music chart.[5][6]According to Pulse Nigeria, JohNel NG stated that his single Kolo is a feel-good song that portrays going crazy as a choice.[1]
