Johan Niemann (born 26 June 1977) is a Swedish musician best known as the current bassist of Evergrey and co-founding the band Mind's Eye. He was also a member of Swedish heavy metal band Therion[1] and Scandinavian metal band Evil Masquerade.[2] He is the brother of Kristian Niemann.
Niemann began playing bass guitar at age 11. While studying in high school, he took jazz theory and improvisation lessons from guitarist Johan Öijen. He attended the Stockholm music conservatory for sound engineering and music production studies.
