John-Anthony Cooney

John-Anthony Cooney (born Johannes-Antonius Cooneybergson, 1982 in London), often professionally accredited as The Jac-meister, is a British illustrator, animator, designer and stand-up comedian.

Biography[edit]

Born and raised in London, England, Cooney developed an early interest in illustration and regularly contributed to The Saint (UK newspaper), The Western Eye, and Apes and Monkeys Weekly. As of December 2013 he produces a weekly cover illustration for the French language magazine La Saucisse.

Cooney is twice winner of the stand up award La Merde d'Or and has been inducted into the hall of fame.

Cooney, who is recognized for his bearded appearance, shaved his trademark beard in 2012, but regrew it in 2014.
